Let us introduce ourselves:

John Peeters, Alpaca International John met alpaca

In january 2001 Alpaca International was founded and some time later an old farm in Kaulille, Belgium was acquired. This farm was renovated into a specialised alpaca breeding center which can house a mere 100 alpacas.

Nowadays Alpaca International has evolved into a commercial business with guesthouses, educational fascilities and a clean and large stable for the alpacas. Besides breeding and selling alpacas, John also owns a store which sells alpaca clothing, yarns, literature etcetera.

A young entrepreneur, but with a lot of knowledge and experience.

Yvonne Verbeek , Alpacafarm Carpe DiemJan en Yvonne

Yvonne Verbeek and Jan van den Acker own alpacas for almost 20 years now and are therewith one of the first alpaca owners in The Netherlands. They started with two alpacas among their deer, and lost their hearts to the alpacas after the birth of their first cria. This first cria is still on their farm, although he’s retired from studwork by now.

They have evolved into very enthousiastic hobby breeders and, like all other members of the showcomission, trive to improve the quality of the national herds in Belgium and The Netherlands.
